Cashmere is one of the finest natural fibres in the world, and it deserves equally careful treatment to keep its softness and to last for many years. Care instructions for cashmere: wash your cashmere piece separately only – by hand or on a very gentle wool cycle – using a high-quality detergent made specifically for wool. Never use fabric softener, as it damages the fine fibre. Take the piece out straight after washing, handle it gently and lay it flat on a clean, dry towel to air-dry. Pure cashmere naturally tends to pill; once the piece is dry, gently remove any small bobbles with a good cashmere comb. This keeps the look and feel of your cashmere piece intact for years.
